Default A small project we did with help

Down at our beach place we built an outside shower and we had a mat for a shower door.
Crit was here and he helped me build a real door and i got it hung Sat with the help of Mark B.

So i had this little boat that was a left over movie prop from one of the pirate movies, there was a fiberglass shop that made movie props and i bought a bunch of stuff there when they went to jail for drugs.
Why did i buy this boat? damnifiknow.

Anyway the boat has been sitting around my back yard for a long time and we needed to build an interesting door and i was walking through my stuff and saw the boat, ahha!
So Crit helped me screw some wood together and saw out the hole for the boat, the inside has shelves for your clothing.
The hinges are some old junk i picked up somewhere, but quite heavy duty.
I think the boat made a cool door, what do you guys say?

The shower pan is a 54'' across and 8'' deep,a round stainless steel hand wash station that i got at a yard sale.
You may have seen one at a stadium or somewhere, the center had a sprayer to wash your hands.
The shower head is a chemical wash down shower that came from an auction at an energizer battery manufacturing factory,it was new in the box.
Ball valves control the water flow.
I have a 1'' supply line that feeds it,you have to have a snorkle to was your hair, theres so much water flow!
Yes,we have hot water too.
You see what happens when you have too much time on your hands?

A boat door, not something you see everyday! Pretty cool.

I don't know if you were ever in the Boy Scouts Randy. I am thinking you have taken the motto "Be Prepared" to heart.

BTW - I never made it. Our Den Mother quit after the first meeting... after I spent all of my "life savings" on my Cub Scout uniform. Only memory now was polishing that gold clip that held that rag around my neck.

Nope,we lived way out in the sticks and running one of 4 kids back into town for meetings was out of the question,we rode a school bus to school and my mom and dad both worked.
We got lots of boy scout training at home, hunting, fishing, cow farming and fence fixing, that kind of thing.

Better keep the gate locked. That shower door will be gone fishing in Wewa.
