Default Bruce Morris

I received a call from Sherry Morris this morning informing me that her husband Bruce Morris had passed away on November 23rd. While I've never met Bruce personally, I've spoken with him on the phone several times over the years.

As a Blue Bird owner, Bruce has been around Birds for many years and as most of you know ran the Wanderlodge Owner Online (WOO) site. Our sincere condolences go out to Sherry and his family, may God Bless you all.

May you Rest In Peace Bruce Morris.

I'm sorry to hear that. We did get a chance to visit Bruce at his home back in 2008, and I know his health wasn't great at that point.

Yes...Rest in Peace Bruce!

The Wanderlodge community is big enough for many of us to have a voice, share our knowledge and help one another. I was a member of WOO for a time and got a lot of help and assistance, some directly from Bruce.

As I recall (I hope correctly) his sig was from the coastal area of NC and mentioned "just this side of heaven"...well, god speed to the other side and thanks for all your contributions to our community.

RIP Bruce. Bruce Morris, AKA Doc. had a passion for the Blue Bird Wanderlodge and went out of his way to help others. He was a co-founder of the first Wanderlodge Forum and, in later years attempted to secure a safe repository for the wealth of information assembled by the owners of these fine buses. His WOO forum never became what he envisioned but not for his lack of trying. I believe he will be remembered for all the good that he attempted to do. I only met Bruce once, many years ago at a RITV and did frequent his forums. They got me started learning about these coaches and, arguably, were the ideas that were built upon and developed into this great forum that we depend so much upon today. Rest in Peace Bruce and a sincere thankyou to you and the fine folks who make this forum possible for all of us to enjoy and learn from.

Bruce was one of the first BB 'friendly' people I met though his forum "Wanderlodge Owners On-line". He was a tremendous help to me when I first became interested in a Wanderlodge. He was even instrumental in helping me to hook up with he previous owner of my 'bird.

Bruce served as a brave U. S. Navy Corpsman with the Marines during the Vietnam War. No doubt, many gallant warriors wounded in combat made it back home because of his service. He told me several years ago that even though he was Navy, his heart and soul were with the United States Marine Corps. Anchors Aweigh and Semper Fidelis friend.

Gods Peace to your family.
