Default Cooling with electric fans

Well I am amazed what one person has to endure to get a company to sell you their product. EMP Mfg of Michigan sells electric cooling systems for buses. After almost 2 months no progress. I filled out their forms and provided pictures and dimensions but to no avail. I was asked by their VP of sales, what's in it for us? how many sales can they expect. If anyone is interested call EMP 906-789-7497. I spoke to an Eddie, Steven,Susan and Bob. Good luck to you. So far never able to get a price.

Interesting. I would think many of us would like to flip a switch and cool down 20 degrees or whatever.
Please keep us informed.

While Escanaba may be in Michigan, I think most trolls would say it's a whole other world on the other side of the bridge.

That form looks more difficult than my doing my taxes!

Actually over the years I've tried it all. I've had electric fan bearings go out and the fan rub through the radiator, I've had water misting systems simply deposit minerals all over the fins which actually insulates them so they cool less.

The BEST thing you can do is have your radiator serviced, fan properly sized, pitched, and a good shroud. The only other thing you can do better is all that PLUS but a new 30% more efficient core in like I finally did.

Now all my over temp days are done. Simple, stock, and works as designed. If that system was really great and fantastic the manufacture would have used it.

ridiculous waste of $$ IMO. Electric fans just cannot keep up with large mechanical or hydro driven period. You're not gonna save any HP, the hydro pump hasta run for the power steering regardless.

Nooooo...
on the series 60 engines they have a separate hydraulic pump for the PS.
So,the pto driven pump could be removed.

The power steering pump could use at most 3 or 4 horse power.
