Rick,

I'm on my way there right now, taking the long way, time wise and stopping along the way to spend time with relatives and friends along the way.

I'm in Abilene, Texas right now for this week visiting with my older brother and his family, who will be flying and driving in from points about the country for Thanksgiving.

John, I wasn't planning to leave just yet. Since we bring my family with us I won't have to stop as much and I may push for 250 miles per day.

Rick- we'll be leaving PA on the 13th or 14th of January and heading to Q through Little Rock. There will probably be a caravan of Texas birds meeting up in Ft Worth on Friday the 15th and we usually go to Las Cruces Saturday and roll into Q on Sunday. We usually travel around 65-70 and you're welcome to join us.

Thank You Shane. I'm not sure of our dates as yet. As far as that goes, I don't know what I'll be doing this afternoon. That is the way we plan on going unless the skies are clear from here to Japan. I don't want to take a chance on I40 from Amarillo to Flagstaff. It can get nasty and not in a good way.

We want to be sure and hit Chuy's in Van Horn, TX. They've got bus parking (John Madden always stops there) and it's a nice halfway point between Ft Worth and Las Cruces. Randy's way would work too- beautiful ride from Roswell through the Guadalupe Mtns and over to El Paso.

Randy,
No need to go all the way to ElPaso unless you just want to. You can go from Alamogordo (White Sands) straight to Las Cruces.
Cuts off a bunch of miloes and is a much better road
