Default Finding B5 and B20 Biodiesel

John,

I am picking up Ruby next weekend and have been looking around the SLC area for Biodiesel, they seem to have several locations.

As for oil prices??? Remember they have beat the **** out of the dollar so it's not worth much anymore. What is it that the oil comp's make on a gallon of gas, uhhh 0.08? Contrasted with what the GOV is stealing from us, boy oh boy are they getting rich off that eh?

Default Biodiesel

The Flying J's in Iowa have B-20 as I recall. I got some without noticing and I'm not a fan of it so I ran it out and try not to buy it. Sometimes it's hard out there to find stations without it.. In Iowa I think you can get it at lots of places (probably the corn capital of the world)

I understand it cleans out your engine and I sort of like mine just the way it is.

Ah, yes. Lee, if my memory is correct, Cummins recommends a maximum of B-5 for our engines.

I haven’t yet tried homebrewed biodiesel, but I’m mulling over the idea. Here are a couple items to explore that might lead to fuel as close as the nearest greasy spoon (though I understand oriental restaurants offer the best product for this use).

Woody,

This kit is only for apple seed? I have reading about black diesel and how to process it.

I am having second thoughts about running Biodiesel during my upcoming trip, I have checked numerous web sites to locate stations that are selling it only to find out after calling many of them listed on those sites, no longer carry Biodiesel, it seems that the listings are for the most part voluntary both for listing them as sellers and for removing their names when they no longer carry the product, which many of them have not done. The Midwest has many of the truck stops carrying Biodiesel, but it is in a higher blend that I would want to run in my CAT 3208, with all of its stock rubber hoses still intact.
