Since you only have 4 days you may well need to cut back to I-5 at some point. While there are many roads between 101 and I-5, many are not that good. I think the two best are from Reedsport and from Florence.

The Oregon Coast is one our favorite places, and we've traveled the length of 101 many, many times, but it is a road best taken when you have time to really enjoy the trip.

Al the Oregon coast road is the most beautiful highway I've ever driven. Enjoy

When visiting family in Portland, I have stayed in the Clackamette RV park

just off the I-205 loop in Oregon City, overlooking the Willamette and Clackamas rivers.

If you stay at Cannon Beach there is a nice campground with a free RV washing station and the water is of course pristine without any spotting or streaks

I'm jealous Al and I live here, hope the weather stays good for you. Just wanted to say that clackamette park is closed due to being underwater. Rivers out here change on a regular basis so it may open soon but I wouldn't bet on it.
