Default Caravan from Nebraska to WOG rally.

We are planning to leave eastern Nebraska (near Lincoln) on 10/11 heading for Pine Mountain. If timing works we would love to caravan with other follow attendees!

Happy trails,

Happy trails,
We are going to leave southern WI probably the morning of the 12th and spend a couple days at land between the lakes in KY/TN. Then we were going to hit a Harvest Host on the way down for one night and arrive on Wednesday at PM. I-80 is on the way, but you might not be coming all the way over to IL?

That sounds like we could meet at land between the lakes! Is that the national Recreation north west of Nashville?

Yes that's it - we don't have any reservations anywhere and were just planning on showing up and doing some bondocking by the water. Working on that plan now! Did you join harvest hosts?

Yes, one of the first thing DW did is sign up for everything full timers could sign up for! We have used Harvest Host a few times and all experiences have been positive!

I looked at harvest host between the LBL and Nebraska and we plan on leaving Fri 11th, staying over night at http://www.woodhatspirits.com/ and then head for LBL on 12th. We can then meet up and caravan the rest of the way!

Let me do a little more figuring in the next day or two, my plans aren't cast in stone yet. Are you good with boondocking or rather have a campsite? The campsites are many and not expensive.

We are open to whatever! Boondocking is fun if you don’t have to search long for it! I checked and they have plenty of sites available at LBL! So we could go either way! We will be leaving Spokane around the 1st. Heading to Nebraska to visit with grandkids for a few days and then head toward the rally. Let me know what works for you.

OK will do. Out west it's a lot quicker/easier to find a boondocking spot. There are so many trees and this particular area is new to me so I'm still working on that.

So almost all of the reservable spots at land between the lakes are taken. Since I started doing this I've come to realize that most popular campgrounds are all reserved during late winter. They have spots open for drive-ups, but there's no info about them posted online. I don't think showing up at noon on a Saturday will be wise for trying to find a drive-up spot or a good boondocking spot so I don't know what I'm doing.
