Default The Birds Nest.

I have been in touch with the owners of the wanderlodge factory.
We can go in and use the birds nest now,but there has to ba a nightly charge.
The reason for this charge is because we have to provide an insurance policy, liability only.

We will need some help on this,do we have a insurance person on the site?

Also,we are going to set up a governing "board",to represent us,the wanderlodge owners, and to make rules and get it all set up and running.

I think we need a person from each of the Wanderlodge forums, and from the FMCA chapters.

Thats one person from each group.

WOG would be Randy Dupree
Ernies site would be Ernie Ekberg
Family of Friends is Bill Kirchner
Vintage birds is Shane
A local rep would be John Stiles
And the last person I believ will be the Plant manager from the factory.

This group was hand picked by ME,with advice from lots of you!
The group was picked to set rules, and to try and keep the different groups all advised and in agreement.

Things we will have to do is provide :
Insurance
Lawn care
Housekeeping

We are trying to work with the owner of the factory to use the same people hes using for those things,so we don't have an overlap in service, and we may get better pricing that way.

There will be a time limit on how long you can stay.
There will be a nightly charge
You will have to cleanup after yourself.
The board will reserve the right to ask anyone to leave.

This is the first post of what i'm sure will be a long thread,so lets keep it friendly, and productive.

We will be charging $20 per night at first.
We will accept donations from anyone that wants to donate money so we can re-carpet and clean up the club house.

This is going to be the wanderlodge Country Club, its up to us to make it or close it.

Randy,
Great plan, great price, and good team you've selected for the board! I support your decisions 100% and will patronize the nest in the spring and fall when I get the bird back online.

How many sites are available there? And I am assuming no SOB's allowed?

we do need a lawyers advice,do we have a lawyer on board?
Theres about 35 sites,all paved,full hookups.
The utilitys are still being discussed ,the water has its own meter, the electric is tied to the factory somehow, thats being looked over as we speak.

Randy:
Thanks , once again, for being proactive on a issue that benefits all of us! Great choices to make sure that the "board's" representation will be all inclusive too!

To expand on this, although I haven't seen it since the auction, my understanding is that somewhere between the previous ownership and now the stove, refrigerator, washers & dryers (?) have "disappeared". I would tend to think that either we should include all or part of these in the clean-up/repair fund or create a separate fund for these items. Thoughts?
