Just curious. Home many of this group travel with motorcycles? Mostly I'm interested in bigger, road bikes.

I travel with my BMW R1200GS on the lift (all of two trips since I installed the lift), or that bike, plus my KTM300XCR and my wife's little Honda scooter in the trailer.

We have a Harley Ultra Classic on a hydrolift. We also tow a Jeep Rubicon Unlimited. Been full-timing for two years.

I have an Ultra Classic. I have a 24' enclosed trailer that I can pull with it and the car inside. I also have the Hydralift for the Harley and it can pull my Jeep Wrangler.

I travel with a '90 GL1500 Goldwing. It weighs 950lbs and I build my own lift for about $300 in metal.

My Yamaha Virago that I have ridden for the past 10 years is the 22nd bike that I have owned since 1963, it goes wherever I go but inside the trailer where it can get a little dusty but not dirty. I'll be using it a lot on my upcoming summer trip to the because I'll only have the race car with me for a car and while it is street legal (I used it at Myrtle Beach) the bike is a lot cheaper to operate.

The bike is loaded through the ramp on the street side of the trailer.

The race car or my VW Rabbit convertible is unloaded from the rear.

I'll have the race car with me as I'll be racing it on the Bonneville Salt Flats in September during The World Of Speed land speed races.

Corey,
I see you've had your motorcycle lift for some time now. I have a BMW R1200GS Adventure that I plan to start taking with me. How has the lift been working out for you? Would you buy the same one again? Has your bike been handling it ok? Any suggestions or recommendations?

Default GSA Tie Down

Michael, please ensure you follow BMWs' recommended procedure for tying down the Beemer. Available somewhere out there on the internet.

I have a GSA also, but it goes in a trailer when it gets towed. Or the final drive fails!!

Bob, I believe BMW has finally recognized that they have a image and mechanical problem with guys like us. I really couldn't afford to drive my GS to the middle of nowhere and have a known problem knock me off the road for a few days while they look for a replacement final drive.

It is my understanding that they are now replacing the ones that haven't already failed. Too late for me. I traded mine in and joined the " Chain Gang". F800gs.

Max.
