We are getting water to the kitchen faucet when the cold water is turned on but nothing when we switch it to hot, getting only minimal water in hot or cold in the bathroom. The pump runs. It all seemed to work fine yesterday and today it's not. What should we be looking for? Still new to this bus (July '10) and need to fix this today as tomorrow we have to return to the job site and need water! Thanks in advance.
Kathy & Chuck

Sounds like that pesky air purge valve used for Winterization.
toggle the air purge switch several times , could be on the side of the bed, or near the fresh water tank drain. ALso behind the shower know trim plate there may be a balancing spool used for a non-scalding control, That is if you have a Moen shower faucet.

Had same/similar problem (cold OK - no hot) after draining & refilling tank. Try cycling the fill switch several times. Good luck

Yep , Ya need Air
Sure sounds like the purge valve, It is a high quality brass valve, located at the hot water tank. Many have been cleaned and lubed with success. The gaskets are re-usable Remove the two square ends, with four screws, clean, & lube with plumbers silicone grease. Several O rings, plunger & spring. There is also a few check valves in the system, but a little more difficult to access.

Hi Chuck & Kathy,
The valve that Bill calls the purge valve is actually a Versa Valve...the one that Chuck and I looked at back in July. A good cleaning and lubing with plumbers grease will fix it. Try warming the Versa Valve with Kathy's hair dryer or a heat gun...maybe the lubricant is too cold to allow the spool to travel in the bore.
