Default Dash Camera

I searched through the RV Products Review thread and elsewhere to find out what WOG Members favor. I found next to nothing. I could be looking in the wrong places. Tell me, do you have a dash camera, if so, what are you using?

The brand that I have is called Rexing. It is on all the time I run the bus. I honestly have no review of it because I have never bothered to look at a video of anything. I just have it for when I need it. Luckily, I have never needed it.

One of those better to have it situations. Thank you, Jim.

https://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Extra-.../dp/B07R43WV1Z The Garmin is mounted center of the two windshields. The windshields divider leaves a non-traffic recorded spot.

And also running https://www.dashcamgurus.com/incredi...d-full-review/ It has two cameras with selection of using one or both. It clamps on the bird review mirror. The cameras are slightly off center of the windshield divider and take up recording the Garmin blank spot. I'm using one camera. I made the mounting and will post a photo when I'm at my main computer. The Jeep also has this camera.

Both cameras get power from the Radar 12v. I leave the Radar switch in the on position so the cameras power up with the Ignition key.

Thank you, Curt for your input. I did wonder about the divided windshield, and its effect. I think using the Radar switch is a great idea.

Tim, mine is mounted directly on the windshield to the left of the center post. There's nothing going to be blocked. There are a ton of options. You just need to decide what you want.

I use a cheap Amazon one. Just like Jim I hope I do not have to retrieve video from it.

I also use a cheap dash cam. Nothing very fancy. It has a large memory card and a great picture. I save some of my road trips. I figure they'll be useful to watch one day when I'm sitting in a wheelchair drooling down my gown!

You're right, Jim. It is amazing how people have to to do any and everything they can to protect themselves from possibilities in this litigious society in which we live.

I get the picture, Kip... glazed eyes with a grin, body leaning slightly forward shifted to the left, and a little moan once in awhile.
