Refrigerator Recall Information
I posted this in another Thread https://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.c...ad.php?t=44431 but I think it may get lost over there so I'm also posting it in this "Vehicle and Equipment Recalls" Forum...

I've mentioned this before as well but this is a good opportunity for a reminder.
I have installed/serviced and/or replaced a number of gas/electric refrigerators in RVs including the one in my original bus conversation, 2 Wanderlodges, a Holiday Rambler, & a number of other class As and trailers. I have yet to find one original installation that conforms to the OEM install specifications; specifically the design of the "chimney". Every one has been deeper than specified, allowing the cooling air to circulate around the cooling fins rather than through the cooling fins. If the gas/electric refrigerator is replaced with a residential type, this issue is moot. However, if you, like me, use the original refrigerator, it should be pulled out and the cavity modified to meet the OEM specs. That will allow your fridge to cool better in hot weather and further mitigate the fire danger. Look up the OEM specs for your particular unit and then check the distance between the coils and the back wall of the cavity. Remodel as needed. TOM
