Default Westinghouse Generators- Buyer Beware!

All, Beware of buying a Westinghouse Outdoor Products generator. I did. About 5.5 to 6 Kw. Ran about 12 minutes. Now will run 20 seconds and shuts down. Customer Service is just about worthless. Takes weeks to respond. Purchased in May. Just dropped it off at a so called service company. Had to talk them into taking it.
Email to CEO gives you a return email saying no such address.

Westinghouse used to be a respected company making good products. Not any more.

Yea, I would be really curious to see who actually owns the Westinghouse name now. As Steve said I am sure the generators are some offshore gen rebranded under the name.

Same for Blaupunkt at this point, it is just a name licensed to whoever pays for the privilege. Time will tell on the 4 speakers I bought from them. They sound great now. No doubt they aren't the quality when Bosch operated them out of West Germany.

I also think many old 'good' names now rent their name out for cash, with no regard for the quality the name memory brings.
