Default Cummins

Hello, this Dan’s daughter Stephanie. When my dad and Janet were headed home, they stopped at a rest area and as they were headed out, the bus wouldn’t go into drive. He was able to get it going and made it home, however while in the driveway, it happened again. These are the codes that came up on the keypad,

1-6 4-5 d-1

The bus sat out last night but he was able to get it into the barn this morning. If you start it now and try to put into drive, the 6 flashes on the left and N is steady on the right side.
Allison

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

I would disconnect the engine batteries to try to reset the computer.

If the engine is idling, too high, it won’t go into gear. If that’s not the case, then it could be the ECU, got mine from TKT back in 2015, then in 2021 I had to send in the selector panel to get rebuilt. I’m thinking, if memory serves me, that most all the ECU’s thatj had a sin#700 series eventually failed. I bought an updated newer used one for $900
