Caterpillar 3208 Solutions This sub-forum is hosted by Mike Hohnstein who has been at this kind of thing for 50+ years now, guess I'm addicted. The saga has been all about progressively larger shop space since then. Honestly, never wanted to get into the CAT 3208's that were originally considered to be a throwaway engine but that's all that works in a FC in my world. Same thing with my Ford toter, that came with a NA, too much effort to hang in a 6, so been at it with the CAT V-8 for 20 years now. In reality you can get excellent life out of a CAT 3208 if it's built correctly. Post your questions about the CAT 3208 engines here and Mike will try to help you out.

Default MIA due to political incorrectness

That being said, I'm retiring from Cat engine work, decided I'd rather putter w/my diesel car collection and the drag car stable.
I have just about every part needed to keep a FC/SP on the road engine wise, PM with your needs. Large stash of engine parts, rebuildable core engines, half dozen reman turbo charger assemblies, pumps, I will still be doing injection pumps for a while, injection lines on and on. Need to clean out the pallet racking.
Contact me or Randy, it all has to go.
Again, PM me, I won't be on line.
Thanks
MH

It's good to have you back Mike. I missed seeing you post. You are a great asset to this group, especially regarding the CAT engines. I will pass this info along to anyone that I run into that needs stuff.

Mike, it is a shame to see you go.... You are a great asset to the WOG community, driving these "old relics" and keeping them running with help from you! I just may need some advice and plan on giving you a call. Stay happy and keep the shiny side up!

Mike mentioned "MIA due to political incorrectness" in the Title of this Thread, but I want to make it clear that Mike was actually put on semi-permanent moderated status by Bill Pape in June of 2024, after Mike attacked Bill via email. Randy Dupree and I both agreed that Bill's decision was justified...

Do you feel better now wyatt? What's that got to do w/my post and how is the title incorrect? Was I not politically incorrect? Am I sorry I blew up on Pape? No.
I decided I'm done working on other people problems and gave the reasons.
Maybe you can do something useful and point out that PM means using my email address or text to my phone plainly listed on my signature. I have an extensive inventory of hard to find parts that the WOG community needs, don't stand in the way for personal reasons. I don't like you either. MH

"Do you feel better now wyatt?"

I feel fine Mike...

"What's that got to do w/my post and how is the title incorrect?

You tried to suggest that you were MIA due to political incorrectness when in fact, you were MIA due to your personal attacks via email on Bill Pape.

"Am I sorry I blew up on Pape? No."

And therein lies the problem...

"Maybe you can do something useful and point out that PM means using my email address or text to my phone plainly listed on my signature."

Actually, PM means using the Private Message feature on the WOG...

"I don't like you either. MH"

I barely know you Mike, but if I did know you, I suspect I wouldn't like you either...
