You could go with a small inverter and lfp batteries. They have gotten so cheap that a simple system really doesn’t cost that much to power just a fridge load.

A $500 LFP battery and cheap inverter will easily run a modern residential fridge for 24 hours.

Thank you. Probably not going that direction, though. Might think of a 12V unit from a place like JC Refrigeration, or one of their 120V/gas inserts, if they have one to fit our Dometic.

JC Refrigeration was quick with a reply to my query. They do not have any cooling unit inserts for the Dometic 2807. So the project has taken a turn.

I kind of like the idea of a 12V fridge, we could easily run it when going down the road, even on our meager OEM FC battery setup, and it should be fine on shore power, since we're always charging the batteries then. 120V would literally be a plug and play affair, but we'd have to run the generator on the road, unless I wanted to install an inverter, which I really don't want to do. Seems like an inverter/120V fridge install would about be on par with the cost of a 12V fridge.....
