Default I need help with these valves!

Now that I have electrical sorted out I am moving on to my water supply (or lack thereof). Can someone tell me how these valves operate? It looks like there is a plunger that presses down and opens the valve? If so they are frozen, any way to unstick them? Also the cables to the valves seem to be frozen also, best way to lubricate them?

Those are called Kingston valves, and yes, they're available, and cost a pretty penny $$$. Company may sell rebuild kits. I 86'd them in lieu of 1/4 turn brass because I was re-plumbing the coach anyway. Cables are like a choke cable on an old car or lawn equipment. Maybe salvageable with some spray lube. I took it all out and went with the 1/4 turn valves. I had one as I remember it, for water tanks drain. I have two 50 gallon tanks, one under each bed (RB).

Thanks. After playing around a little more it looks like all the valves are moving, just the cables are stuck. Am I correct in when that plunger is pushed in the valve is open?

Well the more I get into this the worse it looks. I have the valves for the storage tank and one of the system lines open and still nothing coming out of the pump. The other system lines valve goes to a manual valve and then nowhere. And the water heater line just goes to nowhere also. I have no idea where either of these lines go to. I am assuming that when things froze and took out that water filter it may have ruptured those 2 lines and someone just cut them off?

Michael, you might want to grab the bull by the horns and do what Kris did. Just replumb the whole enchilada with pex and ball valves and be done with it. When you mention it was frozen once there could be holes anywhere and everywhere.

On my former 1980 fc, the Kingston valves were all drains that go throught yhe floor of the coach. Do you have water in the tank? Does/has the pump run? Strainer screen?

I got one of these type valves ( there is quite a variety of sizes and N.O. vs N.C. types ) and installed it for the front heater on/off capability. So far it works great.
