I have a big Milwaukee impact gun. The phone app does not exactly set torque but rather RPM as I understand it. I use a 550 ft/lb torque bar to keep from over-tightening. I bought a torque multiplier before I got the impact gun but never used it.
I have realized that the thing I liked about being a computer geek all my life was the lack of big heavy things that need to be tight. Being the caregiver to a 20 ton bus is a whole new world for me.

I'd think you'd want at least 1/4" thick metal, whatever you used. In steel, that might get a bit heavy, as I'm sure this example is. I wonder if one could get the thing, and add a section at the bottom, since it looks like the bottom slot is probably only 3" off the ground. Hmmmm.....
