Default Interior remodel

We are finally going to upgrade our very dated coach interior. SHE wants a new sofa but I’m concerned about equipment-hearers, blowers, plumbing etc that will have to be dealt with. I have an 84 PT36.

I know I’ll have to remove the jack knife sofa, but should I plan on a complete new sofa or should I just plan on restuffing and reupholstering what I have?

What do I have to look forward to in removing what’s there?

Get yours rebuilt, recovered and restuffed, finding something that will work in your coach will be impossible.

reupholstering is the only answer, take it apart and haul it to Bainbridge,
Not Randy (don't think he sews), call Dee, 229-246-8777

I figured as much. SHE wanted something that would recline. We really don’t have room for that, anyway.

Thanks, all for your help.

We had the PT redone over the winter. Medical/hospitality anti microbial, stain resistant fabric over 4" foam in a box shape. The box cushions lock in flush when open as a bed, comfortable to sleep on. Fabric a couple bucks more than Sunbrella, but should hold up better to kids/pets/food and drink. Travel locks are properly adjusted, stays closed. 30+/- screws across the back, 20 +/- in underside of seat. Taking it apart again this winter to re-do the base.

Its best to get your own material, she can get the foam.

Bill,i do sew,i have a machine out in the shop.
I used it to design the upholstery for the custom wheelchairs we built in the 90's.
Then i would give it over to the girls to produce the stuff.

Default How about Formica?

Since I started this thread I guess I can veer off subject a bit.
We have, in the bathroom, the most godawful Formica. It needs to go away.
What’s the general consensus? Replace or paint?
Anyone care to share some pictures of your painted Formica?

Thanks

Throw those barrel chairs my way and get yourself a small Eskorne (sp) with an ottoman, chair reclines. We travel with the ottoman sitting in the chair, suits us fine. I agree with others, just put a new suit of the sofa.
