Have decided to sell my Jeep. I tow the dodge and the jeep isn’t strictly necessary. Maybe someone wants it? I’m not looking to sell cheap, but open to discussion. It’s going to be listed other places, but this is a weird rare sturdier than you’d think vehicle, fits in around here.

(This jeep is quite a thing, and not just another toad.)

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited CRD Quadra-Drive II
-OM642 Mercedes Benz 3.0 V6 Turbo Diesel, *no* DEF fluid/has timing chain 5WA580/NAG1 transmission. 152k miles

-Quadra-Drive 2 system, last year with hydraulic controlled mechanical lockers FRONT, center and rear. Will calmly walk up anything without wheel slip if even one tire has traction, without any input or selection from driver from on highway, to rock crawling. seriously.

-Full underbody OEM MOPAR skid plate package, installed when suspension done. Not a factory option, only after purchase. -engine, t-case. Fuel tank, thick corrugated double layer steel plates, bolted together and to jeep.

-Full Old Man Emu medium duty suspension kit, gave it a remarkably nice ride, lifted about 4” over stock, but doesn’t look or feel it.
— to go with OME setup, has full Jeeperf super flex steering linkage (4th pic) to properly correct alignment to factory spec, as well as Rocky Road offset upper control arms with servicable ball joints. It drives and rides better than factory, no bounce or lift related nonsense. New Mevotech LCA’s and had a recent alignment.
—JK rubicon wheels to correct offset and near new Michelin defenders on it (and solid steel lugnuts) 255/75/17. No wheel spacers, and zero rub anywhere even at lock.

-Limited has heated seats, automatic headlights/high beam, auto wipers, front/rear auto up/down windows, tinted glass, remote entry, moonroof, chrome & wood trim etc.

-has a properly installed Blue Ox tow base plate with removable pins in front, near invisible when removed. Have towed this 15-25k miles I think. No issues. Can include a blue ox Aventa 10k bar if necessary.

Zero rust or corrosion anywhere, came from Oregon desert side, and lives in so cal desert.

It’s had all of it’s maintenance, and then some. and various needs met, these were known for diff bushings and oil cooler leaks, both have been addressed. I have a set of blizzak winter tires with wheels (3rd pic)that will come with it in good shape for winter stuff. And a set of snow chains(they’re CHP required cargo in my local mountains!)

Everything works, has a couple minor issues I’ll be happy to have addressed before a buyer takes it.
-Moon roof doesnt open, but vents up/down fine
-drivers seat has a worn leather panel on entry side
-shifter electronic sensor pad (internal to console) needs cleaning or replacement.
(I haven’t bothered to fix these, because theyre just not concerning to me. Although I did miss the roof actually opening a time or two! All are simple enough to fix.)

Clean title, current reg, passes emissions, in my name, no leaks, etc. etc.. this is my “get in and go wherever” car. you could fly in and drive this to Argentina or wander to the Yukon as-is, gets 20mpg honest in mixed driving around here. Has power for days, rated at 7000lbs towing capacity, but has never seen a trailer beyond a uhaul 5x9. Happy to discuss with anyone interested.

Comes with misc spare and maintenance parts, and Weathertech floor liners throughout. Don’t have interior photos at the moment, however its near mint and original.

$20,000 is a fair asking price for what it is, and what it has become. I would be interested in a trade for something interesting of equal value, or a partial trade.

They made the CRD Jeep Grand Cherokee between 2007 and 08, only years offered with a Daimler sourced 3.0 v6, from the sprinter vans. They made a ridiculously small number of them, due to the Chrysler company turmoil,

After these were discontinued, they went to a VM motori v6 diesel in the ECO-Diesel line, and its just not as well designed as far as longevity and reliability are concerned, the timing belts and maintenance schedules on the ECO’s are way up the scale, same as the early ecodiesel ram 1500.

Same goes for the QDII 4wd system, after about 2008-9, even while keeping the name “QuadraDrive II” jeep discontinued the front mechanical locking system in favor of only ESC type AWD trickery in the front, with an open diff. It still works, but nothing works in the same way as full locking diff’s, and without any need for the driver to engage or disengage them, this system is a rare gem. It was optional on the WK with the Hemi, and the Diesel(s)
