Yes you pay at the gate. They will ask you how many days you will be staying.
If you don't know how to get to the group, they will show you were to go.
There is a lot to see. Bring a good pair of walking shoes. Your dogs will be barking.

Jan dates are for the swap meet. The big show that we used to go to is in Feb and steps on Love Birds Feb 19-22 but it would fit right in with the USA coach rally

Count us in for January. Think it will be good to see something a little different and might be better a little less crowded. Looking forward to it. Three rallies in two months. And I thought the winter might be all resting up from the Alaska trip.

I agree with the less crowded theory. We went to the November show last year. The village was in full swing, the dry camping area was sparse, and about 1/3 of the flee market. The tractor pulls were running and the food vendors were there.
We got an actual campsite with 30 amp electric and shade.

So, the Jan show sounds good to me as well. I have never been to that one but it is likely about the same as November.

During the show they close the entry gates. I highly recommend getting there on Tuesday as the gates are open all day. If you arrive on a "Show day" you must get in the gate before 9am or after 5pm.

I also highly recommend you bring or plan to rent some form of in park transportation. Pretty much anything goes as long as it is less than 5 ft wide. Also they rent golf carts.

They have a pump out service and water is available but you will have to haul it (think 5 gallon jugs)

You can run your genny 24/7 if you want too.

That's sound advice for sure. We had the joy of camping at the gates last year cause we forgot and missed the entire first day. because we couldn't get in till after 5pm with everyone else.

I talked to the person in charge of camping, we just need an estimate of the number of buses. The Jan. show is the same as the November show, with just a few less vendors. The Parade, the Ford model T demonstration, the tractor pulls, engines will be running, the village is open in full swing, and more.
