For some people,, they just ain't mechanical and never will be. And that is OK, you just need a friend who is.
The problem with warranty or shop fix in a MH is the having to find a service facility, make an appointment, take it in and leave it, then go back and get it, only to find the problem still exist.
There are no magic to finding and fixing problem, especially intermittent problems. No one is in a better position to find and fix than the owner living with the problem. And with the ability to share those fixes, it make it even easier.
Point being, most folks on this board probably know more about fixing a Bird problems than many big RV shops.
