Tell Us Where You're At As you travel around the country, why not take the time to tell our members where you have settled for the night, week, or month. There may be another member close by, that would like to meet you, so put that information right here.

Not sure what route you plan on taking, but if you come thru Jacksonville, FL let me know. My wife and I would be glad to meet up with you.

I made a change to the maps today, allowing for a "10 year" option for the data expiration. I would still recommend using a shorter time if you are actually traveling, so that you get reminder e-mails to update, but for long home-base stays this is essentially a non-expiring option.

It is on the update page at http://www.bbirdmaps.com/whereiam.cfm and also on the latest copy of the Windows-based program for updating, at http://www.bbirdmaps.com/bbmapsubmit.cfm

Sunday Night @ 9:30 more like bedtime than family meeting time my lovely wife & 3 children decided we needed another family vacation before the summer ended. Monday @ 7 pm we rolled out headed towards Gatlinburg, made reservations at Camp LeConte & rented a SUV for the week. GPS routed us thru the Artist Trail & I thought the big bearded guy in the Mini Cooper was the ultimate Blue Bird fan the way he was waving at us, after I got to the site I realized he was strongly suggesting another route. The bus & family are all acting fine & we are having a great trip.

Nice to see 9 on the map here at Casper, http://www.bbirdmaps.com/user3.cfm?user=1 which is good for a rally!

Looks like there were some problems today with some of the pages used for registration and location posting. Should be fixed now, I hope!

Don, if I use the 10 year time, does the next entry automatically change if use a shorter time?

At least in theory, the expiration should only change when you change it overtly. Looks like I screwed up the form when I fixed the other problem, so it didn't show 10 years, but it would have still kept 10 years.

Number of members on the map is declining, so I'm giving a bump as a reminder. Remember, if you are not traveling much you can set it to keep your location there almost permanently (10-year setting).
