i didnt know BB or HWH had the automatic levelers out in 1985,but nothing on a bird surprises me anymore(except that bag of pot!).

As far as heaters every 8'.thats standard stuff on the classic birds,BB used to bragg that the wanderlodge was good to -25 degrees with no other heating system, running the generator for power.
And the entire coach has 2'' of spray foam too..

What a machine.......

I posted this because randy said "I don't think you have auto levelling!" in another post. I thought at the time that the PO had said it had autolevelling air (really I thought he did), but this system is hydro.

Yeah randy, the longer I live in it the more remarkable it has become. It's well insulated, quiet and comfortable even when it's unbearable outside - and it's 25 years old!

The campsite had guys cutting some rotted/wind damaged trees back and from inside the bus you could really only hear it from the vents. Outside it was unbearably loud, as they were no more than 30 feet from the coach.

The air leveling was what i was referring to,but the truth is some 1985s had air leveling, rare, but available.

The original owner claimed that the bus had air-auto levelling. I have not found any controls that would activate it nor any documentation that refers to it.

That's why I reported it here - because I couldn't figure out how to make it work =)

My coach was quite the opposite. I suppose it was originally built as a 'spec' coach (not pre-sold) as it was missing several things that appear to be pretty common otherwise. Power drapes -- no. Altimeter -- no. It was designed as "all electric" -- so it has no LP gas at all. Mixed blessing. Never had to look for /fill up LP gas -- but then there were some sticky times when batteries were low and I was caught in a "quiet time" trap in a State Park. However, despite the handful of Wanderlodge conveniences that were absent, it did have all the standard items and they mostly worked most of the time.
