Tell Us Where You're At As you travel around the country, why not take the time to tell our members where you have settled for the night, week, or month. There may be another member close by, that would like to meet you, so put that information right here.

Default Finally on our way!

Well, after a year of planning and "packing", we are finally on our way (2 days late of course)! We put the last few items in our hangar and headed out of town around 6 PM yesterday. It had been a LOOONG day so we stopped for the night at the Walmart Astoria in Pauls Valley, OK. As usual, we went in and shopped for even MORE stuff to pack into the bus! Sharlene and I always try to spend a little money when we stay at Walmart...of course it would have been cheaper to just stay at a park!

Two more hours and we were in Wetumka to stay with our favorite Aunt and Uncle. They are having a 50th Anniversary and the whole family is driving/flying in. Sunday we all pack and head to Branson (where we will certainly freeze to death)! One week there and then it is a slow and leisurely journey down to Florida to visit more family.

Sharlene is adjusting to retirement very well but still slips and tries to put us on a schedule! We are told that this is normal and will ultimately go away!

Additionally, I would like to say thanks to all who have helped with suggestions and tips to help us get to this point...I am sure that I will be here with questions on a regular basis!

Sharlene has set up a blog and has promised to keep it updated regularly. Anyone interested is welcome to visit (comments are encouraged)...the address is in the signature below.
