Default Transfer Switch

Being No two birds are the same. Has anyone with a 1993 PT40 had a Transfer Switch in the refrigerator area.. I can hear the loud buzzing in that area.

Matt, I would be willing to bet that your transfer switch is in the water bay on the street side. It should be on the wall to the right as you look at the bay, with the generator exhaust stack just to the left of it. If you are hearing a buzzing behind the fridge, where is your fridge located? Is it on the street side? I can take a picture of my transfer switch if you need it. I know of several other '93s and they all have them in the same place.

My refrigerator is on the passenger side.. The State Park we are staying at is 30amp... Lights started flickering, and reversed polarity light came on.. We had melted the park receptacle box. We moved to a 50 amp spot bit later I hear and electrical arc sound coming from the same area the buzzing or humming comes from.

I gotta find it before I can fix it. I was hoping to have knowledge before I just started disassembling in the blind.. I guess this weekend I will pull the refridgerator forward and look behind it.

Jim gave you the location of the transfer switch.

Do you have a house fridge?
I would do this, turn the breaker off to the fridge (if its a house fridge) and see if the noise stops.

Thanks for the Info.. Its a House Hold Fridge. The humming noise has been there since we have owned the coach.. It comes from inside the wall some what above the fridge. I thought it was the Transfer Switch, but If its In the water bay, then I have no idea what it is.. The reason I had always thought it was the Transfer Switch is when we switch powers sources I will hear a loud click in that area... So it must be some kind of relay then.

There may still be a ventilation fan behind the frig; there was with the original 3way.

Sounds like the relay that switches your fridge between shore power and inverter. I don't have a part number available right now. If you search for AC relay and you should come up with a number for it.
