WOG Express (Need someting hauled?) In this area people can post where they are leaving from and where they are going and if they have any room to haul anything as a favor to another member. Also, in this same area, people can post that they have something to move from Point A to Point B, in the hope of someone volunteering to haul it for them.

I don't know anything about I75, but have made the trip many times from the valley to Indy and 40, 44, 70 is definitely my route of choice.
Sounds crazy to drag an empty U Haul but I know how they operate and it is probably cheaper to take it empty and bring it back full than to get one there for a one way trip.

trailer rental is $200-300 round trip, $450-550 one way! That's a lot of money to put toward one, but I can't justify it for using a handful of times per year. We're going to do the Northern route back, see some national parks.

Unless you have business to attend to on I-75 you might want to rethink going that far out of your way. When you hit Indy on I-70 take I-69 north to Ft. Wayne. Then you can either take US 24 to Toledo and on up to Detroit on I-75 or you can go on up to US 12, but it is a two lane road. US 24 is all 4 lane divided and recently built. Lots shorter than taking 70 to Dayton and then 75.

Default I 75

The I 75/280 intersection is under construction. I 75 between the I 75/475 split near downtown Toledo and the I 75/280 split is always under construction. I would heed Jim's advice. The orange barrel is now the new Ohio state monument. Don't even try to go down route 20 west of Toledo. Traffic tie ups galore.

Thanks all. I drove I75 up from I70 when I went home in December. I missed the I69 while in a daze at the wheel. 75 did take longer, but it nice to have one less exchange to watch for. I've made the trip 12-15 times now, haven't needed a map or GPS, but it may be time to start using one for the reminders.
