Default Sporlan Valve Problem

New Wanderlodge owner (82 FC 35).
Just going through all of the systems. I have a problem with the tank fill solenoid valve. It doesn't seem to close completely. I'm guessing I need to replace the diaphragm. Anybody had issues with these? Any idea where I can get a new diaphragm?

Before replacing try cleaning, take apart and soak with CLR or vinegar make sure the fiber diaphram hole is clean as well. Usually a good cleaning will take care of the problem, but if you need a new one Steven Birtles of Dupree Products may have one.

Yes Steven has rebuild kits. Soaking in CLR will make them shine again. The diaphragm however is not easy to clean and is easily damaged. I used Steven's rebuild kit and things work much better now.

I bought two and am keeping one as a spare. However, I may have to use it to rebuild the valve for the front chassis heater circuit.

Default Thanks for the reply

I'm impressed with the fast replies and the knowledge. I really appreciate it. I'm sure I will have more questions (kind of overwhelmed by all of the components and systems in these things). I will try cleaning it first.

Follow up:
Well it was the Sporlan valve causing the problems. The 12V pump would just keep cycling (pumping in a circle from tank-pump-tank-pump?). It would also continue to fill the fresh water holding tank with the fill switch "off". I went through the painstaking task of removing the entire Sporlan valve and replaced it with a manual ball valve. Problem fixed. Isolates the tank and holds pressure in the system after pressurizing with the 12V pump. Apparently there are no leaks...... after pressurizing and shutting of the pump, the system still had near full water preasure to the fixtures after 2 days with the pump shut off. Not planning on leaving the manual valve in place (no convenient way to get to it). I'm ordering the Sporlan valve rebuild kit from Dupree products today...... thanks for the advice and link. Now I have an interior material question. I'm going to re-post the question with a different haeding right now.
