Default SnapPad “Shoes” for Wanderlodge Sized BigFoot & HWH leveling jack pads - 10% Discount

Several months ago I discovered SnapPads. For those who don’t know what they are, how they work or the advantages of installing these permanent “shoes” on your jackpads, check out THIS short (1:43) YouTube video by SOB owners ‘You, Me & the RV’. You’ll find other reviews & how-to-installs HERE.

After watching those vids, I was ready to order. However, at the time no Wanderlodge sized BigFoot SnapPads were available so I contacted SP to ask about my Bird. When they became available, ordered and installed a set. They went on easy and there now is no cardboard under my jack feet when parked at the Bird House! This summer I’m sure I’ll appreciate these pads even more . If you’re interested, follow the SnapPad company link above.

For a limited time (expires on May 20th) use this 10% discount code at checkout: WLOG10 (That’s an "Oh" in the middle & “One Zero” at the end).

If you have questions about which SnapPad will fit your coach, their Customer Service is excellent! Either send them an email at THIS LINK, or call them at 1-866-923-9538. Their Rep also wanted me to pass along that recently they’ve been swamped with orders, so please allow up to 7 days for them to ship (mine went out the next day).

BTW - I paid for my pads and other than passing this info/offer on to fellow WOGers, have no interest in the SnapPad company or it’s products.

Enjoy!

Don't imagine they would fit my bird's front jacks since they fold up. Rear one maybe...

Likely not for the fold down style. Most applications seem to be for straight down piston extension models. However, recommend contacting SP at number above. They may ask for a picture or two. It was several months before they got back to me with a solution. So long in fact I forgot I’d sent that email and was surprised to hear from them. Glad they did though

Those look pretty cool.
My pads have a tether so they are easy to haul back. These are easier.

SnapPads are permanent so they are way easier than slide-under pads.

My jacks were originally mounted too high by BB causing them to have insufficient throw to level the coach on any but pool table sites. To compensate I built 4 wood pads that could add 4” to the height of each jack, at each corner. Positioning and retrieving them was done with the awning pole, and that meant getting down on the pavement to eyeball their position relative to the jack pads - a pain at best. A hole was drilled in each and they also had large handles (from HD) to make this easier. I still haul them to make staying at horribly unlevel sites possible. If I add a few 2x6’s they can also be used as ramps, since they are super strong. They are made from 2x3’s inside on edge sandwiched with plywood, glued and screwed. A router round over bit was used to smooth the sharp edges.

The DIY pads work fine but SnapPads are easier.

I made some because I'm staying in my front yard and I wanted to keep the coach level. The yard is soft enough that the rear jack pads sunk in about 6 inches when I tried to get level. (It was interesting to get the jacks back up...)*

I took some pressure treated 2x6 dimension lumber and cut 8 pieces 22 inches long (2x6 is actually 1.5 x 5.5 inches) and used deck screws to assemble them into 2 22x22x3 inch pads and placed them under the rear jacks. I did the same in the front but made the pads 16.5x16.5x3. They've been down for about 5 months and are holding well.

Sorry, no pictures but it's pretty simple. Not as pretty as Van's but with a chop saw it was quick and easy to do.

* I let the springs pull them up as far as possible, turned off the levelers, and aired up the suspension. Turn on levelers, set to retract, and dump suspension. A couple cycles of this brought them up out of the ground.

Hurricane recovery status: drywall is in; I now have walls, ceilings, and the AC unit is back in. Mudding, sanding, painting, and some new floors to come.

I’ve seen these pads on a few rigs, I’m ordering, the discount is a bonus.
