I haven't heard from him lately, I think he might have done it. Anyway, Nicaragua isn't that hard to get to. Ob driving south - funny, Tom got sucked into an adventure back in December. Drive-share from Brownsville to San Jose, Costa Rica, down the east coast of Mexico, across the low point from Acayucan to Zaragoza, and on south.

Well, that's a campfire story for sure; but for the present, the moment they cleared Matamoros there were speed bumps. On the open highway. Unmarked, no warning. Driving along at a nice ~55 mph, and KA-WHAM-BOP-Boing-boing!!! Considering what the one speed DIP did to Finn's Inn back in November….

East Tennessee. Four full seasons and no state tax on earned income, nor unearned IRA income.

I hope to visit every location listed . I think Ned hit it on the head when he mentioned all the great points of many different locations . so to me that says keep on RVing and see them all .

I have to tell you , If I could visit every town till the itch to move hits me, I would need 100 years or more just to see the U.S.

We had to make a change of plans again WORK got in the way haha . we are now on the 5 south of Eugene , with meetings set up through the week . I think my next Bucket list trip will be mt St Helens 2 weeks from now . From there Seattle then Vancouver. Then we will turn around and be sure to visit some of the places you guys/gals have mentioned . keep the ideas flowing as 100 years is a long time lol thanks much Al

I call the type of RVing we do "sampling." Every town has something of interest, as does the landscape inbetween, and you have to resign yourself to the idea that you can only see the highlights for most of it, and the details for some of it.

Agreed Don , and I think you could "sample" them all and then do it again for a lifetime . Then take grand kids and show them around !

Al while you are in Washington check out the dry side of the cascades. A lot like Bend but some what less expensive living. Yes it can get a bit cold but not too often. But then again you have a rolling home.

Al and Erika
If you make it to Vancouver Island, you are welcome to stop at our place. I have room to park and hook ups. The place you described as a place to live, sounds a lot like where I live. The ferry is expensive, about $220 each way with the bus, but worth the trip I think.
Hope you can make it.

Looking back at CA 30 years ago-so true. Then Apple & ALL move in, then the second invasion of emigrants.
