so i think i will take a bear claw latch and see if i can attach an actuator to the 2nd stage of the claw closing.
push the door into the first click, and let the 2nd stage pull it in.
Simply use the door latch to open it.
I think.
I have a door or 2 at the warehouse,i can do the mod to a door in the shop, and when i get it working i can do it to my bus door.

Actuator will need to be able to release it's pulling power, so door latch will pop the claws open. Will check with my Hot Rod builder friend and see what ideas I can get from him.

Correct!
And it will have to have a strong pull.
I'm thinking cheap and common, like the fuel solenoid on the powertech genny,or any genny for that matter, cheap on ebay.
