Question Clearcoat Front Bumper Cover Removal

I have a 1999 41LXI and the clear coat is in bad shape on the front bumper cover. Can anyone tell me how to remove the 3 bumper cover sections so I can take them to a body shop to be redone? Cell 423-284-4050. Thanks for your help, I'm pretty frustrated!

Hang in there Mike. There is info available here and you'll hear from the members who know how to get the stuff off.

I'm going from memory here.....

You need to get on your back and reach up in behind the section to be removed. There are T bolts that unscrew, four on each side. The hardest part as I recall was getting the side marker lights unhooked (or maybe that was rehooked).

The part Randy says is easy, I never figured out. I'll wait for him to report on the center section. I thought it was glued in place and could find no bolts.

Thank you Corey. I saw what I assume you are descibing as T bolts but I had never seen anything like them before and I was afraid I would break them if they were not meant to be unscrewed. They almost look as though they are made of ceramic with a brass looking T piece through the end?
