Default UPDATE on Need Help Quick

I got a call this morning from Progressive Industries... they are sending me a new surge protector... they told me the reason mine burnt out and melted was due to a poor connection from the power cable to the SP and we had a very nice conversation... that being said it seems some of the power cords are OLD... much like me and maybe you... but the most I can do is fix the power cord... I had mine rebuilt and let me tell you it took a lot of energy to just plug it in as well as the new SP plugged in... never the less... an electrician from the base is coming in the double check the pole I am plugged into as well as some others... if my cord had a bad connection that may explain the open grounds I had momentarily and so forth... that may take care of this problem, but it doesn't change a problem at Jennings RV Park... they have serious problems.

I never knew this... so for 20 to 30 bucks if your power cord is older that 15 yrs I would have to recommend a new plug head...even if you are not using a SP...like I said in the original post I am not an electrician, but I do look at reasons
