We'll be in #26 on Saturday afternoon. We're going to miss Saturday daytime activities due to time constraints, but look forward to meeting the AZ Hot Birds.

Hmm...well roofing is one of my true loves, but I'm inclined to say that this might even trump that. Good luck on your project Jose - I hope it goes smoothly! Look forward to seeing you guys (hopefully) at Q!

Q is definitely in our sights for January. We have a few issues to work out on the coach between now and then, including our generator and one of the front levelers. The Gen is the most pressing, but hopefully I'll get things back on track with projects on the Bird once the roof is in place.

I am definitely going through withdrawals. We have not been out for about 3 months and it's killing me.

Take lots of pictures and give a hello to all the good folks!

Default And a few more.

Hope this works, Princess doesn't like sharing my lap with the laptop, but that is where the pics are.
11.) Kevin & Cheri Vetter's SOB This used to be their outing til Putz horned in and made it a Bird Rally
12.)Bill & Jill Hannah used to have a Blue Bird, now they have an SOB (Park backwards too.)
13.) The county took out all the Palo Verde Trees in the area of John Finn's mishap and marked the spot with a Dumpster.
14.) Princess watching...for what??
15.) Kevin building up Campfire. (Think that is enough wood for one nights fire.
16.) The group begins to gather for the potluck.
17.) Phoenix on Fire. The "Flames" are the setting sun reflected off the downtown high rises 20+ miles away.

Thanx for the pics Dave.

Another nice rally, beautiful scenery, and great company. We did the usual 10 mile hike around the mountain. John, Steve, and I did half the hike and then returned avoiding some elevation changes.

During the hike Michael ran into a couple of very aggressive bears but he was able to hold them off with his walking stick (see pic). The weather was perfect! Some of us had to leave today, others stayed to check out the Wild Life Zoo, hopefully we'll get a report on that as well.

Got to meet up with some new AZ Hot Birds. Shawn Haaksma stopped by with his 87FC from Nevada and Steve & Cathy showed up with their 79FC from Washington. Finally got to meet Ken & Tammy from Fountain Hills, this is Fred & Jeanne's Niece.

It was a good turn out and the burger night was a huge success with our Wanderlodge style potluck, everyone brought sides and deserts.

Looking forward to our next rally at the Q, then the fireworks in February in Lake Havasu.

Default Hike Pictures

Below are some additional pics of the hike (some of which Mike never saw ). On the way up, he and I lagged behind the speedsters. Can you find Kevin on top of the rock in pic 2 & zoomed in pic 3? Getting up that canyon required some serious vertical "hiking". On the other side, Mike missed the incredible views of Phoenix. The waterfall wasn't but there was a nice pool for diving and cooling off (Pic 6). Four Peaks was clearly visible over 100 miles away across the Phoenix skyline and Camelback Mountain was a tiny bump in comparison (Pic 7). Overall, a very enjoyable 10 mile stoll ! The weather was perfect and as clear as I have seen in the Phoenix area in a long time.

Default AZ Hot Birds

Thanks for the warm welcome this past weekend. Sorry if I hogged the camp fire discussion, but after taking advice from a couple of folks, we purchased a home in Glendale on Sunday and will be geographically eligible to become AZ Hot Bird members by end of year.
