Default Hurricane in Wisconsin?

I never thought it was possible, but that hurricane storm is twirling away at my garden right now. In Wisconsin. Maybe we should call it a tropical storm? What do you call a hurricane that has gone this far inland? I think I got 1 inch of rain in 10 minutes about 5 times now. Grrrr.

I'm sittin' on the lake just south of the Wisconsin border. Sky is getting a little dark, but no rain yet!

a bunch of years ago the same thing happened in virginia. was Alberto even a hurricane? anyway, a hurricane came inland and looked just like yours through our area.

we ended up calling it "out of power for 10 days". Hurricane Irma or something??

good thing you have a bus with generator. you will have lots o friends.

this happened before we had our bus.

We are fortunate that our power situation is very stable up here. I think our power blinks for a few seconds every year. I can't remember a time when it was ever out more than about an hour.

I should be able to run the house for a few days on my bus's battery/inverter if I don't run the central AC, too. The bus is ready for it, but I never got the panel done for the house.

Gardner - my wife is in Grayslake, I think you're right near here right now. You are going to get a good pounding shortly. I stayed dry all day, but just 5 miles west of here was downpour all day. It was pretty amazing to watch it on the radar.
