Yeah I have had AAA Premier for about 20yrs but wanted a backup just for over lap. Its like Insurance (In case stuff happens) My experience is even if you don't use it for 5 years and then need it, it pays for itself in one incident. I do preventive maintenance and look after my stuff but in the middle of something going real bad it is nice to have options. My motto is Prepare for the worst and when it happens its really not that bad.
Thanks everyone for your input.

I guess the difference is that it may take some time to find the right guy to help you out, but with cell phones/internet, its much easier than it ever used to be.

I can't remember what Coachnet costs, but being able to call them and tell them where you are, what the problem is and have them do the looking is pretty cool.

Having WOG is handy for that too,Larry Dill had an engine problem once and called me,i did a google search and found him a shop in a short time.

We also had a member here blow a hydraulic hose and i found a mobile hydraulic service and had them go out.

Kev,maybe the next time you get hung up just tell the coachnet dispatch your engine died and you need to be towed to a campsite, don't tell them your high centered, the tow truck driver could care less.

No next time, please. Once was more than enough. But yeah, I know what you mean.

In almost 30 years of Bird ownership, I have been towed 4 times and have had one tire service, so yes, it is cheap insurance.

Oh, one tow was about 90 miles.

I haven't ever had Coach Net but in over 10 years with the old FC I had been hauled on a Landall 3 different times and Good Sam paid the bill every time. Twice Good Sam listened to me when I told them what I needed and once we had the wrecker driver talk to Good Sam when he refused to tow and he recommended the Landall to Good Sam and they finally agreed with the driver. Bottom line is with either service provider YOU need to know that YOU have to inform the insurance service operator of what you're operating and what type of equipment you need, if not you may get a 1-ton truck with a lift & go attached pull up in front of you and they'll be scratching their head once they see what you're driving.

You'd be lucky to find a lowboy long enough to haul a bird, but you will find a Landall. JMO
