Just so you won't think that Randy has started his own car show in Daytona, the show is actually called the Daytona Turkey Run http://www.turkeyrun.com/Turkey_Run_Home.html and in my opinion it is one of the best and largest car shows in the nation, I went one year with Randy and Arley Roe (not Rob) and it was at this show that while Randy was cruising the swap meet on his motorized shopping cart (sorry I don't have pictures) that I found out that Arley was my Dad and believe me it was a surprise to me and I remind Arley of it every time I see him, you know it is true that he does look older than me

I'll be in Abilene, Texas at my brothers for Thanksgiving, so I won't be able to make it this time.

I'm in. Got a friend with a timeshare, but would prefer LARGE MARGE if she's up to it.

That would be way out of my budget.

what budget?
hahaa!
I bet you can afford to drive to Daytona!

A few years ago I met Paul and Lyn over there for a day,We were trying to buy Paul a truck, but never found the right one.

My shopping cart was powered with electric wheelchair motors, and batteries,Before that I had one powered with a 7HP honda engine,it almost killed me in the back yard so I scrapped it.
I buy lots of stuff for resale at the swap meet, and pulling a wagon sucks. so I built the shopping cart, then Daytona outlawed it when they saw me riding on the flip down step on the back.

Now HERE'S the shopping cart that I was thinking of when you mentioned Randy's. Powered by a Supercharged 350 chevy engine.

Randy,
The drive over is not bad, it's what I might buy when I get there. I went a few years ago and left my check book at home. That's the only thing that saved me.

Randy-
How do we go about setting this thing up. I am volunteering to help, but since I am a newbie, I do not quite know what to do to make arrangements. I looked at the Turkey Rod Run website, they linked to a couple of KOA's nearby. I tried to make a reservation but there are special "requirements" so I have to call. Another thought is to get into the infield and camp there. Probably a bit of a zoo and no hookups available.

i prefer camping at the speedway, they do have dry camping available, the weather is cool enough to not need AC,so its no big deal.
This will be a simple get together, hang out,see some cars etc.
is there any other interest?
