Default LXI 43 headlight bezels

Question: what is the best adhesive for gluing the headlight buckets back to the plastic bumpers after changing out the frosted yellow covers for the stainless bezels?

Hi Peter,
Can you post some pictures of where exactly you are talking about. I usually use Plexus MA 310. It is a 2 part Acrylic adhesive made by ITW Polymers Adhesives. They use it for glueing semi trailers together instead of rivets. The properties are higher than epoxies.
Good luck
Dan

Peter,
You might use 3m 5200 on that. It’s a lot cheaper than MA 310 and doesn’t need a double cartridge gun. Wether you use either one it will never come apart again.

5200 will hold it for sure. You might also consider 3m super weatherstrip adhesive, also known as “yellow death”. Wear gloves when using or you’ll have to wait for the stuff to rear off.

Yellow death also comes in black. Same stuff, just different color.

Default Replacement source?

Peter,
Where did you find the replacement bezel/surround for your Lxi? On a trip back from south Florida we went through some heavy wind and rain and I assume that is where mine separated. Looking for the Driver's side (black lexan).

Thanks

THe black covers have not been available for years.
I make a white fiberglass cover, you have to paint it and cut the holes for your
lights.

I bought a couple of covers from Randy but haven't got around to putting them on yet. They are really Good looking covers. Much stronger than the originals plus you get the opportunity to reconfigure the lights any way you'd like.
