Guilty as charged! I guess I've been hoping to see you at a mini-gathering somewhere, but I promise to be more proactive about getting together in the future.

Plus, Shane usually needs my technical expertise with some problem he can't figure out--especially since his coach is so poorly maintained

Let's get up and get going!

Heading to Orlando, for a final appt at Josams, and spending the night there at the Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake. (only seemed approperiate ) Next night is Jekyl Island, GA, then Charleston, SC, then Four Paws Kingdom, NC (a treat for our hounds) and then onwards up the Appalachians. Will take pics of the fall color and keep a blog for those who want to follow us.

Thank you everyone since the beginning for all your help.

We are doing it!
Have a great trip...

Neat thing about Jekyll Island...if campground is full. They charge you like 1/2 price, and give you a special permit. You can use the campgound to fill/dump...but then you go down near the shopping center area and right off the beach there is a special overflow lot. Dunes around, no traffic and your boondocking closer to the beach than any other option on the island! It was the best - see photo of where we "had" to stay!

We'll be at the PA Renaissance Faire in two weekends. Staying at the Jonestown KOA. Could be a fun place for a mini rally...

Default KC's and Emma's, Deland, FL

KC so generously invited us to stop by their home today on our trip from Orlando to Jekyll Island.

We are so glad we did!

It was great seeing him again, but unfortunately we did miss Emma, who was still at work. But we will get to see them both at RATS!

They have a great spread of beautiful green acres, and a shop too, tucked away in a really, really neat spot! If KC hadn't guided us in, it isn't something one would have been likely to have ever seen speeding by on Hwy 4.

We are glad we took the diversion. This is the stuff that really makes a trip!

KC also gave us special instructions on how to get out of there afterwards, by avoiding Hwy 4 and Hwy 95, (along with a really good map he had especially made for their guests), (thanks KC) (and he doesn't need meds Ed) (I do ) by going along Rt 11 to US 1 and boy was he right!

It was much better road, and much more picturesque! For those who have ever traveled US 95 north before or might, should take note!

We once again arrived at Jekyll Island right before dark, beat. What's with us? Don't ask me how it is we can only travel 200 miles at 63 miles an hour, and get there in 10 plus hours. Something isn't adding up!

But we really enjoyed our special stop today.

More tomorrow and will try to catch up with all the other really kind posts as with this new Verizon card we seem to have a super slow internet connection here on Mr. Hyde Island.

Or maybe it's just us again. We are getting older and are in a slow time warp!

NOT!

It's only taken me 3 hours to upload one pic.

At this rate, by tomorrow I'll be a decade older.

I have more pics but I just keep getting discounted.

C'est la vie!

Man o man, I would have love to have that spot! Sneak down to the beach at night.

Unfortunately the campground was not full.

We are going to take a nice walk with dem doggies to the fishing pier and beach this morning. We both got a little stressed out yesterday and a good long walk will do us all some good!

It was 100 degrees yesterday and dropped to 59 this morning. Can't wait to experience some fall weather!

It sounds like you have everything planned out well. Boy ! you two sound like you where sure "excited" and starting that time of the day is probably a good idea anyway because of not sleeping because of excitement.

Happy travelling, and safe trip. Keep us informed. (p.s. "everyone loves pictures")
Thanks for the well wishes!
We will be gradually winding our way up to Ontario, and Lake Huron, for old times sake.

Jen and Dee too!

That would be cool, Jim.

We will probably be up there mid next week.
Let us know if it looks like that might fit into your schedule.
