Default Mystery Air Line

So what is this for? It appears, at least to me, to be some sort of solenoid operated air valve. There is only the line from it to what may be the throttle control.

The end of the line on top of the engine is capped and where it might have been connected is capped off too.

Could this be the engine shut down system. On my coach you have to pull the emergency stop handle to get her to shut down.

Someone has the "hot" input to this solenoid wrapped up with an alligator clip on the end. Where should this have been connected.

Do I need to restore it or ????

Found this while scouting out the removal of the radiator.

Nope, nothing on mine, either. Maybe an old toad braking system component left behind by a PO?

The red device is an Allenair solenoid valve.

http://www.allenair.com/Valve/2-3-Wa...id-Valves.aspx

The capped off air line may have been installed by the PO to operate the braking system on the Toad.

Looks like a bad case of Tinkeritis.

Nope, the solenoid and the capped off line went to the air operated fuel shutoff on top of the Gov. housing.
How do you shut your engine off?
With the cable and T handle from the drivers area?

To shut her down I have to pull the emergency shut down handle at the base of the steering wheel.

Also note that there is no air line leading to the Allenair valve.

There was an airline going to it!
On top of the gov. housing there should be an air cylinder, whick will push against the fuel shutoff arm/lever.

Thanks would anybody just happen to have a photo of what that air cylinder would have looked like?

Then would the air source have been the line that I have photographed or ?????
