Default Travel Sat

Anyone know anything about a Travel Sat. My bird has the control unit mounted in the overhead above the dinet. It powers on and there are coaxial cables there. the wiring is on the roof but the dish is gone. All I can find is that it is made by dometic. It must be an older discontinued unit. Is it good for anything other than a nite light, door stop.....

I have a travel-sat dish on my bus. I understand that it was one of the first totally automatic dishes. I had the receiver but removed it as I was advised that it was too old to be any use. It was also in bad shape (the receiver was).
Is this dish worth keeping? Will it work with a more modern system? Should I remove it and throw it away?
I know very little wrt satilite systems, just want to know if this is junk, or worth leaving on the bus for use in the future?
Thanks

Okay, so I have done a search on the internet WRT this dish (Travel-sat). If you do a search you end up on a UK site now but they are spelt travelsat, no "-". Apparently the one that I have it is a "C" dish - what ever that is, and it was owned/made by Dometic (maybe). I suspect that they are obsolete, just wondered if anybody has done any research or had any personnel experience with this system.

You might try these guys. They list the system about halfway down the page.

Talked to the guy at satillitedish.com. Apparently the Travel-Sat, a very good dish in its day, is now junk. It would not work with a modern system. So I guess it comes off, to the bin.

Definitely a shame, but really common in the satellite world. In 2005 I went HiDef with a Motosat dish that could receive DirecTV 101/110/119.

DirecTV started transitioning off of 110/119 to 99/103 (on a different frequency band) around 2007, and by the beginning of 2010 there was no meaningful HD left on 119 and 110 wasn't used at all.

So, now I have a dish that can receive the "new" HD until the next time they do something like that.

Of course then I had 10 HD channels and now I have hundreds, so it is the cost of progress.
