Default Inverter Installation

I just installed a Magnum 2812 inverter in my BMC, replacing a 24-year-old Heart Freedom 25. The swap out couldn't have been simpler. Since we were visiting the Guereskos and Steve had just done a similar one on his Wanderlodge, he jumped in to help (which was wonderful as I had a bad back and the unit weighed 58 lbs. ). The Magnum is a little larger dimension -wise and hooks up in the front instead of the back, but we looped the cables from the battery over the top to the front. The AC inputs and outputs hook into the side, so we angled the Magnum a little to the right so everything was easy to get to. All the cables were plenty long enough to do that. Everything on both units (the Heart and the Magnum) were clearly labeled so it was just a matter of unhooking the Heart and hooking the cables to the Magnum. Even the 4-wire Telephone cable that runs the remote was the same situation, unplug both ends and plug them in the replacements. And, surprisingly, the Magnum remote fits perfectly in the hole in the armrest where the Heart remote was taken out. Even the screw holes for that lined up perfectly. I ordered the Magnum 2812 and remote from iMarine https://www.imarineusa.com/MagnumEnergyMS2812.aspx for less than $1600, which was as good a price as I could find.

So, it's all good!
