Default Remember 9-11 today

Remember the first responders...
I know there was lots of innocent people hurt and killed, but the men and women that run to the fire, not away from it are in my thoughts today.

I worked in WTC1 during the 1990s as a computer tech. Lost a lot of friends and acquaintances on 9-11 including a woman who looked after me as a small child, she was my mother's secretary at Marsh & McLennan and had risen to a VP post in the midtown office, was at WTC1 for a meeting on 9-11-01. Also a friend on Flight 93 and his girlfriend, they were going to Napa Valley on vacation. The world changed.

Default 9-11

343 firefighters
71 law enforcement officers
2507 civilians

The numbers grow due to health problems. Over 4000 people have been diagnosed with cancer from this incident .

We shall never forget !

We must also stay vigilant , the evil that perpetrated this attack is still very much at our door . In the end , good will prevail .

My mother lived up there at the time. We lost a good family friend on Flight 93. I was in the Navy back then. We felt felt for sure we be in the fight right away. My prior unit shipped over in 2003. They got hurt real bad. I lost a few close shipmates who I had called friend for years. I remember them every year. In the end it took me 4 years, but I got to go help fight back. And I went a second time in 2013. RIP to all the civilians and First Responders. Family had friends who were on the ground for the recovery. Some are gone before their time.Glad to see that they are getting the help they rightly deserve.
