Has Anyone Modified the Shower in a PT?
I was going to put this in the PT/WB forum but decided the start it here since it is fantasy right now. If it gets serious, perhaps the admins will move it to somewhere more appropriate.
The shower in both the PTs I've owned are nice EXCEPT for the "seat" in the floor opposite the shower head. I assume it's a seat, but only babies and midgets with no legs can set on it. Has anyone modified the shower by removing the "seat" and making the floor flat? I would like to but I am afraid I would be asking for problems with structure and water leaks. Any ideas? Opinions? WAGs? TOM

I don't know about the PT but on my FC under that raised "seat" is where the heat duct for the bathroom is routed.
As for removing the seat itself that would be doable but you would probably need an experienced fiberglass man to do it and have it come out trouble free and looking good. I am thinking an experienced fiberglass boat repair person.

I talked to coachcraft once about redoing my bathroom, dropping the shower floor and redoing the walls with corian sheets. Point is anything is possible

I think behind the seat in a PT you may have this big steel frame,careful measuring will be required!
