Looking for some advice. After watching my batteries bubble and boil all summer, I'm ready to replace the stock charger/converter in my 74 FC. The bus currently runs off the two 185 RC 'deep cycle' marine batteries (combined house/starting) that the previous owner put in last year. I was looking at the Progressive Dynamics 9200 series and wasn't sure how close to the stock 100 amp converter I really needed to be. In the not so distant future, I'll upgrade the batteries possibly to 4x 6v in series/parallel, so I'd like to make sure I plan ahead here as well.

John,
A very positive move for sure. Smart chargers are certainly the way to go and a small investment, all things considered. I liken the the old dumb chargers/boilers to waxing a car with a baseball bat! I am sure one of the charger experts will chime in here for better technical advise ![]()
