86 pt40 Muffler

I have an 86 pt40 with a 8v92 and the exhaust has rusted out. I am looking for a muffler, the 120-130 degree bend before the muffler and the long piece before that. If anyone can help with finding parts that would be greatly appreciated

Many of us have replaced the original muffler with a straight pipe. Cheaper, less work, better for the 8V92. And, some of us have installed a resonator in the straight pipe to tone it down. Do a WOG search for straight pipe. Good luck.

Pretty much any heavy duty truck parts place can sell you what you need. Lots of us have replaced the muffler with a resonator. Less back pressure and a little louder.

Replaced mine on my 85 Pt 6V92 Fleetpride. About 150.00. but that was several years ago.

I went to a local exhaust shop and had them fab up what I needed. Bought a resonator and put it all together.
