Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Just minor set backs.

The daughters emotional well being is paramount. She struggles with a mood disorder and the combination of her boyfriend crushing her world the night before her 22nd birthday (6/21) and the reality of my impending departure, she got overwhelmed and we came close to Baker acting her. This is why I have to find her a suitable roommate. I feel terrible leaving her behind and the least I can do is not leave her all alone. She cannot afford the house all on her own, nor do I think she is capable of running the house on her own. She is staying behind to care of the animals that are left. Hubby has 2 aging cats who are both in their very late teens and not suitable for the bus, she has a German Shepherd and a young male cat and we have an adult chameleon on the patio. My dog is going with us. He is soon to be 15 and is happy wearing a diaper if I am not there to tend to his aging bladder. My colony of bats are self sufficient.

We also still need to sell some more of the guitars (to save them from going into storage) and he needs to sell 2 of the cars we never use. I need to get my CCW and that will take about 90 days, due to the backlog here in FL.

So if I am going to be stuck here for a few more miserable months, I may as well make good use of my time. Just have to keep my goal in sight.

I would look for a government contract job in your field. The feds are always looking to give money away on boondoggles.
Ok Kip, care to enlighten me on how to find such jobs?

Boondoggles are easy to find only after someone else has cashed in on them.

Sounds good to me. When you find it let me know if there’s another lot next door. That’s exactly what I had in mind.
