Default Stupid me

In all my messing around I never realized there was a baby Racor buried up under the front for the generator. That answers some questions, let's say. What a stupid place to mount it.

I need three hands to change that filter. You’re right it’s a terrible location.

I don't see how sliding the genny out will help? I have to slide underneath the step to change it?

On the 84 i had,if you slid the genny out you could reach it from the curb side front.
Not to bad at all.

I'll check it out tomorrow. It's between the step and the driving lights on mine, but maybe I can reach down there somehow.

On my '88, with the generator out, the Racor is a only little inconvenient to reach. The big problem is a thick section of the wiring harness that sits right on top of the Racor. It has to be cleaned of road dirt and then propped up with a short 2x4 to get clearance to remove the lid and filter.
