Default Hello from Smith Lake Alabama

Hey guys, newb here, Just got bit by the bug, I just picked up and delivered a 1968 wonderlodge my uncle bought , I drove it 250 miles and was smiling all the way. This thing is amazing.

If anyone knows of a good deal on a wonderlodge let me know , I am looking for one that needs some handy man work but mechanically sound. Thanks guy.

Good luck in your search for the right Bird for you!

KDRoberts, Nope it didnt take long at all.About 5 miles or so, I really don't know why anybody would buy an rv that will rot down in no time v/s a wonderlodge

Thanks rwoody, But I am looking for something to work on as money comes in and less than the 10k range, but may save up for a sp or pt when I get my big boy pants , Just out of curiousity how much for your sp

Hello Jeremy,

Welcome to the forum. Randy has several coaches that would be great to refurbish or enjoy as they are. I used to own the 1974, it has a good history and is probably in pretty good condition. It's a gasser and easier to maintain. I had the generator completely rebuilt by an Onan distributor when I owned it. I also had new brakes, wheel bearings, and seals installed, serviced the cooling system, tuned the engine, and refurbished the interior. This was quiet a few years ago, but the coach has not been used much, the mileage is actual (around 55k). It is worth looking at and maybe Randy can broker you a deal.

If Randy can't find you a good project, might want to check this one out (found on vintagebirds.com):

1978 Wanderlodge FC31 3208 Turbo Diesel with a stamped 250 horespower rating. The odometer shows 57,000 which would make me think it has that many miles on the new motor. But I do not have true Mileage. I have the Blue box with all the info from owners manual to service manuals on everything. 2 front couches that turn into a King bed. 2 beds in the back and the dinning table turns into a bed. 4 burner stove. As you can see in the pictures the motor home needs a few things such as the driver seat leather is coming apart. The couch on the driver side has a tear in it. This motor home needs some work, Refrigerator, water heater, 1 top A/C for sure, all tires are weather cracked. Onan gas generator needs the tank flushed but have tested generator and will run smooth with fresh gas. Coach is located in Palmdale, CA. Contact Chris Valdes by Email for more details or call my cell at 408-893-2843. Reduced to $7,500. Picture Picture Picture Picture Picture Picture 07/2011
