Default Orlando area secret spots?

So I find myself in Orlando with no real plan as to where to land. Just picked up my daughter and waiting for the rest of the family to fly in on Friday. I was trying to avoid the expense of a campground (we are "paying for parking" all next week in the keys). The Walmart I just ventured into has signs everywhere that say "no overnight Rv or truck parking". Thoughts or ideas on where I might be able to boondock in mouse town for the next couple days?

My Rand GPS says to call the following Walmarts:
3101 W. Princeton St, 321-354-2096
201 S, Chickasaw Trail, 407-380-9971
8101 S. John Young Pky, 407-354-5665

Good Luck!

Tim,
I can't think of the name off hand but there is a nice county park in Orlando. Not too expensive. Just remembdered it.

If you don't find any of the Walmarts I gave you allow overnight let me know and I will call others that it says does allow.

Ok. Called several of the Walmart listed and they do not allow overnight parking. I finally asked if ANY Walmarts in the area (greater Orlando) do...and I was informed that it is against city ordinance (by a manager.

Also checked out site and tried to call bill Frederick campground (only $19/night!!!) No one will answer phone and I have no way to tell if there are available spots. Bit of a drive from where I am, I'm apprehensive to go up there for nothing.

If anyone else has any thoughts let me know. If not, I guess I will drive up to Frederick campground and see. Called a few other Rv parks and they are all full. So much for winging it!

Hard to beat a fellow WOGers place!

I belong to OvernightRVParking.com, and looking at the Orlando area it is about as bad as anyplace I've seen in the country. They show a ton of "overnight not allowed" spots and just three in the greater area that are allowed. Two are Cracker Barrels, and you wouldn't want to do more than an actual overnight in those. The other is a Walmart Northeast, in Sanford at 3653 S. Orlando Dr.

Tim,

We stayed at Moss Park for about a week this winter. It is 10 minutes from the Airport and 20 minutes from the convention center. Really nice, on the shore of a lake, lots of hiking trail, moss draped live oaks. Big sites with lots of room around. Somewhere in the vicinity of $19/night. No pets though...
